From her earliest days, Andra Lee's life has been a symphony of music and media. With musicians as parents and a mother who teaches Music, Art & Technology, Andra's world was filled with creative exploration. Her childhood was rich with hands-on experiences, from crafting claymation videos to DJ-ing school dances. These formative moments laid the foundation for Andra's vibrant career as a Rhode Island-based artist.
Andra's talent flourished during her time at Columbia College in Chicago, where she became a DJ known for popular house parties in 2009 and 2010. Since 2018, Andra has been seamlessly merging music and media through her explorative podcasts, social content, video essays, video collages, and original music. "Creating this kind of work is a true blessing," says Andra. "It brings me immense joy, and I can't wait to share more with my people!"
This year, Andra aims to expand her creative reach through a new initiative: A-scape. Designed to be a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, A-scape will feature curated musical sets by guest DJs, international friends, family, and Andra herself. The program will deliver chill-out, lo-fi, downtempo, jazz, soulful, and ambient textures from Rhode Island to a global audience.
